Today morning, after having breakfast, you will be checked-out from the Hotel and driven towards the hill station of Munnar. On the way to Thekkady, you can visit Malayil Kallan Guha & Powerhouse Waterfalls. Thekkady is located near to Kerala-Tamil Nadu border. Following your arrival in the town, settle down in a hotel/resort and relax for a while. Post this, embark on a rustic tour to the Periyar National Park, a protected reserve forest, which is home to a stunning variety of flora and fauna. It is bound to wake up and give pleasure to the nature lover in you. The sanctuary is famous for its dense evergreen, semi-evergreen, moist deciduous forests and savanna grasslands. It is home to herds of elephants, sambar, tigers, gaur, lion-tailed macaques and Nilgiri langurs. Close to Periyar National Park is the Periyar Lake, one of the largest artificial lakes in India. Take a boat ride here to bask in the true beauty of the place truly. Coming back from the boat ride, you can go for local shopping & visit spice plantations also.
